Tog Studio feature at National Architecture Lecture Series

Micheal Holliday, of Tog Studio and Roots Design Workshop recently presented to the [email protected] national lecture series at the Strathclyde School of Architecture.  Micheal talked about his motivations for setting up Tog Studio before presenting the Lighthouse , Boathouse and Sitooterie.

In a wide-ranging talk, which discussed the inherent political nature of architectural education, Micheal encouraged the Strathclyde staff and students to remember the positive impact they can have on society if the teaching programme embraces practical subjects issues such entrepreneurship and hands-on construction skills.

There are lots of exciting lectures still to come in the series, including Bruce Newlands (Kraft Architecture, Skirmishes, MAKLab), David Page (Page\Park), Prof Neil Gillespie (Reiach and Hall Architects) and Alan Dickson + Gill Smith (Rural Design Architects).  For more information see the Convenient Benches blog.
